Tom Potter, or "T-Pot", founded a life for himself in Leavenworth, Washington, based on one thing, "Having a damn good time!" With a background in collegiate outdoor recreation guiding and a lust to live in a place with '"The most epic back yard ever", T-Pot has spent the past several years honing his knowledge of the Leavenworth area. While his initial intention of living in Leavenworth was focused on whitewater kayaking and mountain biking, T-Pot soon became immersed in the tourism and service industry of the Wenatchee Valley. "Working in a restaurant was the best way to maintain the ability to play all day and work at night. Not to mention, I became connected to the community in a way that I never could have imagined." Over the past six years, T-Pot has earned himself sponsorship in the sport of whitewater kayaking, spent copious amounts of hours exploring the Pacific Northwest, hosted an outdoor adventure television show called The Arbiter of Stoke, and served as a brand ambassador for numerous outdoor recreation companies.

In February, 2017, T-Pot completed one of his most impressive accomplishments to date by being pronounced in remission after an eight month battle with Hodgkins Lymphoma. Diagnosed in June, 2016, T-Pot swore he would not be beat by cancer and dug his heels in for the battle. Continuing to participate in all the outdoor recreation he could muster the energy for, T-Pot completed multi-day river trips, 50 mile mountain bike rides, sea kayak races, and countless days paddling whitewater in his kayak, all while receiving chemotherapy.

Throughout his travels chasing adventure, T-Pot found that the best way to experience a place, is to get the local scoop from someone who knows the area like the back of their hand. "It's easy to waste a lot of time trying to figure out the best way to use a weekend. I always try and seek out a person who has similar interests and really knows their way around." Hence, The T-Pot Experience was born. "I want to help people have the best time possible during their time in Leavenworth, while doing it with grace and style."
